A mass of gold
Gravy Baby – I love you!
Twice at least, the sight of the gold mass clustered on the riverine
of Sungai Melaka where the fresh water from the river meets salt water from the
Straits of Melaka.
Glimpses of the eye-catching precious reflective color
radian from a center of a noblest colonial double storey shop house on 2 Lorong
Hang Jebat, always turn heads.
A road renamed years after securing national independence
from the British it has taken up the name of a legendary man, Jebat, known only
to limited countries on the easterly-southern world.
(Worldwide historians reckoned its old name, First Cross
Street – a street name self-descriptive with irrefutable proof to testify any
tour guide's storytelling for his group of tourists.
Logically, tourists would get impress of the trustworthiness
of their guide and this alone shall ignite the fire of desires to other travelers.)
The endless changing reflections of gold color never fail to
initiate saccades, smooth pursuit eye movements to my left as I maneuvered my
car over Tan Kim Seng Bridge.
After the bridge, I am dazed with the climax of a spectrum
of variant gold tones projected by GravyBaby; which is enough to seduce me to release the accelerator pedal
and tapping the brake pedal tenderly.
Why?
A love protruding for a baby’s comfort on the riverine of Sungai Melaka is what anyone would dream for. It’s here baby!
My Baby |
More so, a location for a perfect baby ambience on the "symbolic antennae of a centipede" with its trunk encompasses the entire length of Jonker Walk.
A centipede walks with a
hundred legs. How did the centipede decide which leg to move first? (Centipede – Scroll to 124 to READ)
More excitingly, the joy of teasing my girlfriend and to
enjoy a playful meal with my pretty woman (breakfast, lunch, dinner or coffee hours) would make her
adrenaline rush stronger.
Glances at features of heritage structures, here and there, near and far, shall only momentarily paused our locked eyes, you may construed as attraction, love or
flirtatious.
My dates, would savor:
1 babbles and burbles of Sungai Melaka.
2 reminiscence of untampered bridge bombed by the Japanese.
3 audibly gong of a clock tower.
4 thousandfold daylight reflection and multifold nightlights
relection of Sungai Melaka.
5 traces of vehicles at the horizon which separates the water
from the sky.
6 … please pardon me, as I can’t afford to completely
describe this virgin zone of Melaka. It’s too much for me.
