Building Human Shelter

Other than food and clothing, man need shelter. Long before Parameswara discovered the Melaka tree, man got satisfied by getting shelter in hollow trees, overhanging rocks or in caves. An advanced stage of building shelter is man attempts by interlacing tree branches, now we called those huts as attap-roofed houses. The desire for beautiful and useful led man to construct shelter of varied forms and colours. Broadly defined, the art of building human shelter is architecture.

A city has been listed as heritage because of the architectural structures is Melaka. In Melaka, you can see architectural works by;
