Kelantan bird legend
Petala Indera is the name related to the Kelantan bird legend during the ancient time. The meaning of Petala is in folds, while Indera can best define as king or the powerful (in classic literature language). Hence, as a whole it gives the meaning of the sovereignty of the king, caring and loving to the people under his rule. Petala Indera boat was an adaption from the Royal Ship named as Petala Indera Seri Kelantan which was built duing the time of Sultan Mansur (c1890-1899) and ready to be used as the Royal Ship during the Sultan’s Birthday Celebration (River Festival) and also used by the Sultan for sightseeing along the Kelantan River.
