Kids are lovely

School children used to play in a garden every afternoon that belong to a giant.

Birds sang sweetly, beautiful flowers stood like stars in that lovely garden with soft green grass. The owner, Giant, return to his garden after being away for years which he spent with his friend. He saw the children playing in his garden when he reached home and his voice chased the children away.

The Giant built a wall that closed the garden to the pedestrians and the children had no choice but played on the road which they did not like.

When Spring came, the garden was still Winter, while the whole country were covered with little blossoms with birds flying everywhere. Back in the garden, birds did not care to sing and trees forgot to blossom as there was no children to appreciate them.

Snow and Frost knew that Spring has forgotten the garden and soon the Wind roared fearly in the garden till Hail appeared. The selfish Giant had changed the lovely garden into a dull scary garden with no one except himself.

After a long time of dullness, one day the Giant heard some lovely music coming from the garden. When he rushed there, he saw the children in his garden again and the dullness had gone. His garden became lovely again with birds twittering, flowers looking up, and the grass was ever green. But it was for a while, when the children ran away on seeing the Giant.

One little boy stayed and did not run. The Giant put the boy on top of a tree and the other children came back with joy.

The garden remained lovely and became a paradise. Kids are lovely.

This is a story by Oscar Wilde titled THE SELFISH GIANT.
