Janji DiTepati : Housing For The Rakyat

Blue print in the THE 2012 BUDGET, Najib Administration's second welfare for the rakyat after education is to "providing comfortable, affordable and quality housing facilities to the rakyat".

What have been done ?

• My First Home Scheme - increase the limit of house prices from a maximum of Ringgit Malaysia 220,000 to Ringgit Malaysia 400,000 for joint loan of husband and wife.
• 1Malaysia People's Housing PR1MA - extend the scheme to areas outside the Klang Valley.
• Special Housing Fund for Fishermen to build and refurbish houses with basic amenities (Ringgit Malaysia 300 million).
• Continue to implement the Program Perumahan Rakyat PPR in 2012 - 15,000 units will be built.
• The Rumah Mesra Rakyat programme by SPNB - 10,000 units with the Government subsidising Ringgit Malaysia 20,000 for each house.
