Lotus Desaru, what an experience
Mersing was a quite a regular destination for me between
1986 to 1989 but not Desaru, neither is Kukup.
Much have been talk about Desaru
and Kukup and these two places are highly recommended by friends and relatives.
After less than an hour drive from Taman Daya, Johor Bahru,
Lotus Desaru can be seen from afar on a road cutting through oil palms lands.
Abundance greenery acted as transitions for the bluish sky
above minutes before the horizon of the South China Seas appears right in front,
growing in slowly in size and shapes so adoring to us while we traveled at a speed of 90 km per hour.
My wife laughed as I told her that Lotus Desaru is another “
premium outlet ” from afar before realizing it was an assumption after going through
some billboards of this beach resort.
The word ‘ Lotus ’ and the ‘ Lotus ’ logo is captivating,
because it impresses one who passes by, with the symbolic blooming of the lotus
to project the beauty of this resort and the surrounding areas.
We checked in after one o’clock.
Firstly, the security personnel for sure will impressed not
only a returning guest, but a new arriving guest because of their smiles and
greeting they gave to us.
Driving on a pentagon-shaped aerial view of an inner road,
we collected our keys to two units of accommodation, one on Level 5 and the
other on Level 4.
Leaving our cars on parking bay next to Block E, ten of us
hurriedly unloaded our belongings and in just a couple of seconds we scanned the
door which opened, leading our way to four clean and neat rooms.
The User ID and the password for the in-house internet
connection is on the cover of our key-cards and these codes allowed me to get
be linked to my social media platforms.
My wife places two stuffed buns on the table in our room while
she walked downstairs to make a cup of hot coffee in the kitchen.
Got to checkout what Lotus Desaru has to offer and why they
claimed that this resort is a resort for all reasons,to these reasons I bagged my FDR-AX40 and
the DJI Osmo 2.
The gals were happily chatting non-stop when I closed the
door behind me, walked to stairs instead of using the lift.
Onto a gap-lane, in between two L-Blocks, two swimming pools
labelled as 5 on the resort handy brochure, reminded me of a late afternoon
dip, before I emerged onto the resort garden.
Breathtaking sights of the garden is punctuated by a Peacock
arena connected to a inner road with a sheltered pathway which led me to TheTeratai.
It was at The Teratai, I met the artful hospitality of Nor’azman
Bin Samsudin, and his team, untiringly rushing to deliver their best services to
dining guests.

My job is to transport readers to fabulous and fascinating Melaka and take them back to medieval times, from bustling sites over to deserted sites or even into the secrets of Melaka.
With a task like that, tired and overused words like “pretty” and “fun” just won’t cut it. Here, readers can find the right words to conjure up a three-dimensional scene of places in Melaka and start travelling.
