Haze and wind. May the winds give mercy for Melaka and Malaysia
Kuching
ranked 1st as the world’s most air-polluted city on Malaysia Day with a world AQI
Ranking of 247
Last Sunday, I wrote on how Haze
can waste other people’s money today and in the future in due course when
Melaka AQI exceeded the 200-mark pushing the entire population of the small
State at the risks of a VERY UNHEALTHY atmospheric air.
On Malaysia Day, streets in Melaka looks gloomy, which means
all tourists must-see sites has become greyish and poorly lit though the sun
has rise and the sight of the haze has especially made such lovely places to
appear depressing or frightening.
NST reported on September 15 that a photographer from
Guangzhou, China had tried different methods to capture several beautiful sites
in Melaka but she has failed because blurry haze appeared in the background of
the photographs. [https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2019/09/521634/haze-eyesore-tourists-visiting-melaka]
Here goes the questions about how winds has reluctantly
directed haze to Melaka.

Interviewer : [Mandarin] – Hazy here, only weeks after
burning started for the wind to carry smoky dust over a distance.
Interviewee : [Mandarin] Yes, wind takes times. Beginning,
the smoky dust disperses but wind is able to carry smoky dust that becomes more
concentrated.
Interviewer : [Mandarin] – People say Kalimantan forest

Interviewee : [Mandarin] – Both sides.
Interviewer : [Mandarin] – Kalimantan forest also on fire

would feel the heat!
Interviewee : [Mandarin] – People used to it already!
Interviewer : [Mandarin] – Just want to understand how fast
the wind works. When haze is here, how long ago has the fires started?
Interviewee : [Mandarin] – Started more than a month before
haze is here.
Interviewer : [Mandarin] – That means, wind also takes quite
some time to carry haze here.
Interviewee : [Mandarin] – Correct.
In summary, haze and winds is related. LISTEN
