Tun Abdul Gafar bin Baba - Templer Avenue

Hi reader ! For historical sake and the younger generations's knowledge on unrecorded moments during the 1960s in Melaka.

Tun Ghafar Baba was opening the SMR factory on Templer Avenue, later renamed as Jalan Panjang and presently, Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho.

On the far background is a plot of land, where a plank-house was standing and now the same place is the Petronas petrol station.

On the nearly 1 acre size of land they were standing is now a food-court while a Chinese Temple is still remained the same today.
