One has left the nest
One morning, about three months before her
convocation in Putrajaya, she gave us a surprise. She is leaving to work and
would only visit us periodically. We were so comfortable to see her watch
movies at home. We have got one choice which is to accept the fact that she is
doing for good. She is now a young adult ready to navigate the journey she
prefers. We thought she was still our baby but we’re wrong. I guess many
parents thinks the way she had.
Swiftly after her announcement to us, she
packed her personal effects and in two weeks time, she started to start her
first job. Enduring the first few months of her not with us like before was not
easy but we are happy with her decision and so we have to realign our
lifestyles.
I picked this title from my cousin sister
when we visited her mother on a Sunday morning. She was enquiring about our
daughter well-being and she concluded that, “Well, that is good and …. one has
left the nest”
If the bird is home-coming, no matter where
the bird roam, the direction to home is remembered. True of the saying, the
quality of time has also improved.
