It is creative to name the noodles house as FACE TO FACE though noodles in different recipes have been prepared by many hawkers for many years. The youngest boy will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow, proposed that we should try the noodles he ate once with his sisters.

There is a wide choice of noodles preparation to suit your taste when I flipped through the menu with my wife, Evelyn, who sat facing her daughter on table 23. Since this is the first time, we are in this noodles shop we surely want to try the authentic noodle. Traditional Sarawak Noodles.

Here are the order we made; Loh Pan Mee, Garlic Chives Dumplings Mee, Honey Jujube Tea, Chili Sauce Sarawak Noodles, Traditional Sarawak Noodles, Black Ginger Tea, Double Fresh Orange Ice Blended, Creations Minced Pork Pan Mee, Oreo Ice Cream Blended, Fried Wantan and Chefs Special Fried Dumplings.

Our summary : Excellent.

On the menu, I read a story. And I would like to share the story with you.

The story of Face To Face began over 100 years ago, with the founders, great grandfather, who, in 1903, left China for Hong Kong to seek his fortune. After finding a job as a chef’s assistant in a local restaurant and winning the Chef’s trust through his diligence, he was allowed the opportunity to learn the art of making Jook Sing noodles, considered one of the rare noodle-making in existence.

Then at the age of 23, he arrived on Malaysia shores, starting his own noodle stall in Dalat Oya, Sarawak. Here, he pioneered the now-ubiquitous Sarawakian Kolok Mee, using homemade noodles created with the technique he had mastered in Hong Kong, that is by mixing eggs, flour and other ingredients together by hand, then riding a bamboo log to knead the dough and produce chewy, springy noodles.
