The lights is on and the stage banner is clear. It spell, 'The Salvation Army Charity Dinner 2014'. Surely, Joy Chan has dedicated the banner in kind.

Shortly after seated, there was an announcement. The announcer encouraged the guests to visit the Hopehaven Centre Christmas Gift counter. I bought coaster specially hand-made by intellectually challenged young adults.

A welcome speech and opening prayer is made by Major Kamala. A Christmas message is delivered by Lt. Col. Posadas.

The video display the faithful performance of these young adults and their courage is very touching; appreciated by the supporters with full applause.

Action song performed by Hopehaven and the intellectually challenged young adults put up an encouraging show with nice song like 'You are my strength" and 'You raise me up'. Next, Lynda Lim played a piano recital on the number, Fur Elice, Can Can and Jingle Bells.

God is good is a nice one.

The Batang Melaka youths of Melaka do the Living in Love, a Chinese.

The Hopehaven dances to the tune of Rasa Sayang amazingly, now, as I write this sentence.

It is glad to know that SCS Steel has been a supporter of the Salvation Army. Thanks, Mr. Lee.

The Lighthouse Children's Home sing Mary's Boy Child, O Holy Night and Felis Nevida.

Salvation Army Choir round up the night by delivering Joy To The World, O Come All Ye Faithful and We Wish You A Merry Christmas.

A merry note I get to hear is that three hotels in Melaka are kind to the intellectually challenged in addition to their excellent services to guests. The Swiss Garden Hotel, Holiday Inn Melaka, and Hotel Sentral provided support to the event.

Thank you to the supporters who buy dinner tables. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in one way or another.
