Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak asked the Indian community to continue to have self-confidence and trust in the government. He said it in Tamil, Nambikei. He said the Malaysia Deepavali Open House is praised by leaders of the World as a symbol of its ability to manage a diversity of race and culture.

The Barisan Government is taking efforts to create a more conducive business environment for the community.

The crowd of 25,000 people reckoned the fact that the Melaka leadership under YAB Datuk Seri Ir. Idris Haron has developed and is still developing the small state with the applications of international standards. An example is the “Melaka Green Technology City State By 2020”.

Palanivel and YAB Datuk Seri Ir. Idris Haron. Together with Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and Datin Fadilah Abdullah, they admired a huge kolam made of colored rice.

Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz valued the celebrations of the diversified cultures that started long before Malaysia achieved independence from the house scenario to a public open house like one on a national scale at the Proclamation of Independence Memorial in Bandar Hilir last night.
