First Cross Street was my favorite street among a few others for Melaka.

When Dutch ruled Melaka, this street was commonly referred as the First Citizen Street.

However, it was favoritely called as Kling Street when Indians and Chettiars resided there during Malaysia's rubber planting era.

Today, this street make no changes compared to last time. No changes in physical structure. No changes in the heritage. Only changes in trades. 

More residences hotels, arts shops, cafes, and leisures matters are taking shapes.

Interestingly, the old ways of preparing food is still being practiced.
