This above picture is made by putting all the below pictures in one frame and when flipping each one within seconds, they look alive.

About 3 p.m. this picture show that on the 13th day of the 8th lunar month, the procession begins. Flagging off the procession are very important people like Gan Tian Loo 颜天禄, Soon Tian Szu, Sim Cheng Khuan and many others.

A traffic inspector in dark blue uniform of the PDRM is in this picture and he has much experience in the cultural events and festivals celebrations in Melaka. Before managing the traffic for this procession, he cleared the way for the Merdeka 57 parade contingents last Sunday.

Here, the Chinese devotees would sway the chariots as they proceed to the next temple. Dressed in white, and in groups, they would take turn to sway the chariots. These chariots carry the Statue of the Deities.

According to a friend who is familiar with the Chinese gods, the 齐天大圣 or the monkey god has 2 birth dates.
One birth date is on the 16th day of the 8th lunar month that is one day after the Mooncake Festival. And the second birth date is one the 16th day of the 1st lunar month which is the date which he was granted as a deity.

According to what was documented in the history, the deity could keep his magical metal road in his hear to hide it from evils spirits.

In this picture, you can see that Chinese mediums in trances taking the roles of the various deities start to walk out from the temple bare-footed. As usual piercing through both side of the cheeks is only a small part of the acts ... among sharp-nails chair, sharply-pointed needles steel balls and so on.

If coordination of such events include travel agents and hoteliers, surely foreign travelers to Melaka could have a first hand understanding of this heritage city.
