Mohd Afizul from Malacca High School is selected to perform the "Bacaan Ikrar" for tomorrow Melaka's Merdeka 57 celebration.

The parading contingents will converged at the Independence Memorial by 7:30 on Sunday morning. At the same place where the Father of Independence, Tuanku Abdul Rahman once shouted "Merdeka", the people of Melaka will re-shout "Merdeka" again on 31st August 2014.

The Governor of Melaka Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob and the Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ir. Idris Haron will witnessed the "Bacaan Ikrar", to the singing of the national anthem, Negara-Ku.

The National Day parade will start by 9:30 in the morning and 10,000 people will gather to grace the celebration.

The "Jalur Gemilang" flags in different sizes lined the streets, bridges and the Melaka River.
