Masjid Tanjing Kling

Kampong Tanjong Kling is about 6 and 3/4 miles from the town of Melaka and is along the coastal line of the Straits Of Melaka. You would find that majority of the folks there are fishermen and farmers. The old folks would tell you about its famous port during the era of Melayu Melaka. The port was a regular stop for traders from Arab, India, and the others.

Once upon a time, it was said that the "keling people" reached the shore to look for water. Some married the locals there and thus, the place is now called Tanjung Keling.
