Buddhist Society Youth Melaka

Melaka Buddhist Youth Society is a society that see to the buddhism matters and the youth from schools withing the State Of Melaka, contribute efforts to events for each year.

The participating schools are, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Methodist (MGS), Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Yok Bin, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Infant Jesus Convent (IJC), Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Baru, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tun Tijah, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tinggi St. David, Sekolah Menengah Notre Dame Convent, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Kota, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tinggi Melaka (High School), Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Selandar, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (L) Methodist (ACS), Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan St. Francis Institution, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Katholik, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tinggi Cina Melaka, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Gajah Berang, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tun Tuah, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Durian Daun, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Canossa Convent (CCS) and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pulau Sebang.

According to tradition, it was said that a gigantic procession on Wesak Day took place every ten years but on a annual basis the procession is carried out on a smaller basis.

Many devotees would follow the events during the Wesak Day celebration.
