PMR Result 2013, Better and the last one.

Thursday 19 December 2013.
Melaka

This is the last result for the public examination, the PMR or Pernilaian Menengah Rendah for Malaysian. This examination has been conducted every year for half of a century since it began. I personally had sat for this examination. It was then named as the Lower Certificate of Examination, in short the LCE. I obtained 2 As, 5 Bs and 1 C in 1977 when I was in Form 3B at the Malacca High School. Today will be a historic day in the Malaysian's education record as the PMR result is the last and starting from the year 2014, Form 3 students are sitting for the school based assesment.

PMR 2013 see an increase in the overall results.

A total of 30,988 students scored As in all the subject compared to 30,474 last year. Education Director-General Datuk Khair Mohamad Yusof said their is a slight decline in Bahasa Malaysia with improvement in all other subjects. A total 462,940 sat the examination before the shool holidays begin.

25 students from the Sekolah Menengah Yok Bin ( 育民中学 ), scored straight As. A son scored 7 As and 1 B.

The results for the Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur also improve compared to the 2012 results and Kedah has a total of 2,264 getting straight As compared 2,082 last year.

Meanwhile, in Kuala Lumpur, the Deputy Prime Minister who is also the Education Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin conveyed this congratulations to candidates who excelled in the examinations. " Congratulations and thanks to the parents and teachers for their sacrifices and toil. " , he said in his latest tweets. This is results improvement just the tip of the iceberg of the majestic transformation of the Mala, ysian Education Blueprint designed by the present Education Minister. The blueprint shall see the present batch of PMR students doing better in their Sijil Peperiksaan Menengah or SPM in the year 2015. The Malaysia Education Blueprint is beginning to produce result with this batch of PMR achievers and please be patience or bersabarlah before you see a gradual improvement in their 2015 SPM results.

Education reform needed tremendous work by the teachers and there is no short cut. Muhyiddin, at least, acknowledged where Malaysia stand today in education but he has already a blueprint in hand to to put Malaysia in the top one-third of Pisa  and Timss rankings by 2026. So, we need Muhyiddin for at least another 2 terms to prove the consistency of the blueprint useful or younger Malaysians. Let's put politics aside for the sake of education.

The current Pisa rankings is a fact that is a true and fair view of the present education standards in Malaysia and with the truth, the DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang has been relentless in his attacks on the political warpath against Muhyiddin that was met equally relentless silence by Muhyiddin. Remember ? Silence is golden. If any Malaysians claim that he could
fix the education systems in a year or two, then he must be lying or a ' fairy ' or ' angel '. The Minister in the Prime Minister Department, Datuk Seri Idris Jala would rationally agree with me on this point. So, Muhyiddin has already garnered his keimanan to make sure his 13 years ahead planned results with his tool, the MEP, to dispel the hot critics against him in the year 2025 not today or tomorrow. He has a heavy duty to ensure it works.

Congratulations to you, your guardians, and last but not least yor teachers. Don't forget your teachers ! Don't forget the 1Malaysia Book Voucher. Have reunion luncheon or even dinner with them as you unfold yourself in the next path of your long road to contribute to the society. Make Najib's1Malaysia better as time goes by. You can make it and Najib would be glad to see the united 1. Muhyiddin, keep it up.

For those, who did not fair well, intead of locking self in despair, no one feed us knowledge but our self and by ourselves we find another road to success. Change and Develop new learning skills and understanding in your next education hurdle. Good luck.
