Nationwide Express, when it begins ...


A fully owned Malaysian courier company with only 26 offices throughout Malaysia during its beginning in the 1980s. Nationwide Express was then associated to Federal Express International of the USA, as authorised representative for Malaysia.

Nationwide Express is in the business of providing premier class courier services to business communities at steady and affordable prices.

Back then, there were two types of services provided and they are ;

1. Desk to desk delivery of time-sensitive and urgent documents.
2. Express movement of non-document packages such as spare parts, trade samples, computer component and stationeries with weight of up to 30 kg per package.

In 1986, Nationwide Express has become a member of a public listed company, namely Ganda Holdings Berhad that was backed with assets of over RM$270 millions. YB Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Arshad Ayub and En Mohd Wajdi bin Dato' Haji Ishak was the principal shareholders. YB Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Arshad Ayub was the Chairman and Tan Sri Ngan Chin Wen was the Deputy Chairman. The directors comprised of Mr. Ricky Lim, Mr. Yong Phie Loong, Mr. Wang who worked as a team with the MD, Mr. Eddy.

There were 6 amazing sales leaders and they are Dang, Kinny, Frank, Ellise, Thong, Allan and Khirruddin. While Suraya headed the Customer Service, Lingam managed Operations. Great supporters of operations like Selva, Kesavan, Halim and Rajah watched round the clock. Money sense was vigiliantly kept by George, Agnes, Doreen and Lee.

Some regional strong pillars for making sure of good services and good operations were Eddie, Raymond, James, Roselyn and Jeffrey.

The founders and the pioneers people sure had enjoyed in the work.
