Savings Account Pass Book is a book use to record deposits and withdrawals by individual. Below is an old Pass Book used from the year 1962.

The old Pass Book was issued by Overseas Union Bank Limited in Melaka in 1962 and transactions were hand written by the teller which was replaced by printer years later.

Individual receive interest on the balances and it is the first function where the savings banks perform by promoting thrift for people to accumulate cash reserves.

The present and future young adults would not have the experiences of a teller writing to keep records of their savings.
