Habitat : Tropical rain forest
Natural Diet : Carnivore with main menu on wild boar and deer

Status : Totally protected animal under the Wildlife Protection Act 76/1972
Range : Exclusively found in the Peninsular Malaysia. One of the surviving 6 sub-species of tiger in the world

The Malayan tigers like water and will cool off in a river. They are also good swimmers. A Malayan tiger can eat about 60 pounds of met in a single night.

In Malay Language, the Malayan tiger is called Harimau Belang and its scientific name is Panthera tigris malayensis
