Give a second thought

The joy of giving emerge each year when Christmas approach. Why wait for Christmas ? The joy of giving is not seasonal but it is an everyday affair.

The mainstream living has already produced stress and difficulties to even the most able person and  the hardships are even more felt by those with learning disabilities. The disabled usually attend sheltered workshops or just stay at home with little or no hope of social integration.

This can mean that their potential skill are left untapped or for that matter ignored. It is time that we have remove our disbelief about them and give people the opportunity to experience the dignity that come from working. In giving, we give the joy of love.

When we give a ourselves a second thought, we would not marginalized the disabled but develop them to become useful members of the society.
