Is loyalty still wanted ?
Loyalty is
the faithfulness devoted to a person, a group or a cause. This is a story of loyalty.
It is about the greed for quick short term gains that selfishness discourages
loyalty and encourages disloyalty.
As he sat in
front of his employees, at the first annual conference, he told them an
untruth. Like all employers, he assured them that he cared them all the same.
However, that
was impossible because among the participants, there were some quiet loyal
employees. One of them was named Talon.
Mr. Chase had
watched Talon about a year and noticed that Talon did not spend much time with
other staffs, other than work and work. For Talon, serving the ‘customers’ come
first.
And Talon was
a loyal and a well-mannered employee.
It got to the
point that Mr. Chase would actually take delight in changing Talon’s ideas and
reports. At times, he would ridicule Talon in front of the others.
At the place
where Mr. Chase worked, he was expected to review each of his employees past
records. Mr. Chase would put Talon’s review off until the last. However, when
Mr. Chase review Talon’s file, he was in for a surprise.
There were
several letters of commendations pointing to Talon’s dedicated services given by the writers.
One writer
wrote, ‘Talon is dedicated in providing services to his customers and is always
willing to go over and beyond to ensure his customers are satisfied.'
The next
writer wrote, ‘Talon is patience and stay positive to correct a service failure
even though at the ridicule of his customers’ Another writer
wrote, ‘Talon is tireless to make sure his customers get a service assurance
even after his official hours to serve’ The General
Manager wrote, ‘Talon is a systematic worker but his mother is paralyzed and
life at home must be a struggle’ Instead of being
compassionate, the Senior Manager stretched him widely and dumped him later. (Workers Tales Fiction Names used do not represent anyone)
