Political music

Music is a form of expression for man. Written music is a relatively late development and in the period of the late Renaissance, music in churches was fostered. Very soon, voice of words with music let man keep making new songs. Beside the aria, and the scena, composers like Richard Strauss, Schubert or Beethoven developed another form of song known as the Lied.
