American Presidents' Homes


Adams Mansion
The Adam Mansion in Quincy, Massachusetts, was the home of presidents, John Adams and John Quincy Adam. The home remained in the family for 159 years.





Monticello
The 3rd president of the United States stayed here and Monticello is preserved as a national monument.





The Hermitage
Before Andrew Jackson could afford to build tha stately mansion near Nashville, Tennesse, he had lived in a long cabin for a number of years. The Hermitage which mean “rural retreat” was home to President Jackson from 1804 to 1845.





Hillsborough
Built by his father in 1804 and restored in 1925, Hillsborough is home to Franklin Pierce.





Wheatland
Home to James Buchanan, Wheatland is one of the finest house at Lancaster, Pennsylvania.




The Lincoln House
Abraham Lincoln owned the Lincoln House which was bought for $1,500 in 1844 and was his home for 17 years before he moved to the White House.





The Grant House
Ulysses S. Grant was presented with a house in Galena, Illinois by his grateful fellow citizens after the Civil War. Now, it is the state historic site.






Sagamore Hill
With 23 rooms, the beautiful mansion at Oyster Bay, New York is the home of President Theodore Roosevelt. It is a house on the hill, overlooking the waters of Long Island Sound.





Hyde Park
In New York, this is the birthplace and home to Franklin D. Roosevelt.
