A higher ranking in the happiness index is one of the
elements to drive the country to be a high–income nation with the Economic
Transformation Programme or ETP. According to the United Nations World
Happiness Report, the happiest nation in Southeast Asia is Singapore, followed
by Malaysia. The Urban Transformation Center is making people happier with
enhanced services with its first in Melaka and the second to be launched
officially in Kuala Lumpur on 22nd September, 2012. UTC is part of
the Najib Administration using the Blue
Ocean Strategy to yield accessible, comfortable and efficient services to
the people. As at 13th September 2012, projects produced the ETP progress
with investment totalling RM5.607b, and providing some 18,522 jobs on a total
gross national income of RM2.361b.
