Relations made a long time ago

China has made relations with foreign countries a long long time ago. During the dynasty era, the emperors invited foreign delegations to China. Here is one example. The Sultan of Melaka had despatched a delegation to China in the past. He is Tun Perpatih Putih.  An example of the Chinese emperor who adopted an open policy is Emperor Chengzu.

Emperor Chengzu decreed a great armada on a diplomatic and trade voyage to many countries in the West and in Chinese language, they called the place, “Xiyang”. When the news of the Emperor’s desire became hot, Zheng He was very excited and timely, an intimate minister of the emperor, Liu Chengyi, recommended Zheng He.

Treasure vessels were built at the Nanjing’s Longjiang Treasure Shipyard supervised by Zheng He. Like an antique villa that float on water, the largest vessel measured 51 meters wide and 156 meters long. In one year of vessels making, the armada sailed. Resemble like a dragon, over 200 ships were in line on the river of the Liujia Harbor.

The voices the people, the gongs and the drums deafened everyone for kilometers on the river banks of the Yangtze river. Colorful banners fluttering in the wind complimented the 33 meters Commander Flag of the Treasure Ship. Added to the deafening sound, non-stop firecrackers, non-stop applause, non-stop classical traditional music rejoiced and blessed the swimming of the 5 kilometers dragon toward the sea.

Wang Jinghong followed Zheng He and the vessels berthed in Fujian for a sacrificial ceremony for the Queen of Heaven.
