Lim Goh Tong had the bold plan of transforming Ulu Kali peak, later name Genting Highland, to a tourist resort. His ingenuity, single-mindedness and dauntless courage in taking challenges had enabled him to rise from humble beginnings to great heights of attainment.

He took 7 years to complete the construction of Genting Highland Resort that commenced business on 8th May 1971.
