卫塞节游行 Wesak Procession 2014 Seck Kia Ennh
I have
first came to hear of the Wesak procession some forty-four years ago. It was
said that the annual procession would be on a big scale once every ten years.
Annually, road-long devotees would walk faithfully with the Buddha dressed in
white.
Last nite,
they continue to devote to the Buddha and began the walk from Jalan Gajah
Berang and some of the popular spots the procession passes are Jonker Walk and
Ramada Plaza Hotel.
The
devotees gathered as early as 3 p.m. before the procession began and by the
time the chariot returned to Seck Kia Ennh, it was almost eleven.
Amidst the
compassionate atmosphere, the night was spectacular with great performances of
Lion Dances and Dragon Dances. With the drumming of the Lion and the Dragon
performances, the compassionate ambience was further decorated with a display
of fireworks.
Pretty
engrossed with the road-show of compassion, I recorded a short video to share
with you. In addition, Google + has generated pictures taken last night at the
Seck Kia Ennh for admiration of the awesomeness of the whole evening.
If you
missed witnessing this year Seck Kia Ennh’s Wesak procession, try not to
miss out next year.
