He see the future

On 7th May 2013, a great man assumed office as the leader for the State Of Melaka and he is none other than Datuk Wira Ir. Idris Haron. After completing his education in Melaka from 1973 to 1983, he furthered his academic qualification at the University of Texas at El Paso.

Winning the newly created Tangga Batu seat in 2004, he was elected a Deputy Minister for Higher Education after the 2008 election. On his 3rd election, he won the Sungai Udang seat by defeating Asri Buang with 9,136 votes and thereafter appointed as the 10th Chief Minister of Melaka.

Like his social networking on Facebook, and on Twitter.

He has earned these titles DGSM., DCSM., DMSM., DSM., and BKC.

He like to power Melaka to a 1st Class State considering his predecessor, Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam, who had made Melaka a developed State. Last February, he launched the Melaka Gateway and the project is expected to be ready by 2019.

Under his leadership, Melaka has become not only cleaner but also more beautiful than before. You can see and admire flowering plants getting more and more in the heritage city like by the locals and the foreigners.

Beyond expectations, he has a vision for Pulau Nangka, a vision to open Melaka doors to the world and to ensure the Melakans and the tourists could enjoy the quality in hospitality by introducing new initiatives toward efficiency of all state agencies.

Datuk Wira Ir. Idris Haron has also encouraged the public hospitals to strive towards the general misconception of patients facing the fate of quick death (cepat mati) upon admission. He has pushed for better medical attention for his rakyat.

Datuk Wira also has the rakyat at his hearts, when the weather was dry and he did his best to ensure that the water reserve could provide comfort to the people of the State during the season. He did not press the rationing button.

Lately, there are comments about him on vehicle registration number and this is not a new topic. It had occurred to Liow Tiong Lai and many other individuals before this. It is just another note posted by the Road Transport Department or Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan whenever a fresh register is about to get started. It is to show that bidders are served fairly.

The Chinese believed the number 8 or pronounced as Ba or Fatt (in Cantonese) propel the Chi Of Prosperity. They also believed that the number 9 or pronounced as Jiu (in Mandarin) prolong the durability of our wish. Today, these beliefs are embraced by Malay, the Hindu, the Portuguese, and many other races. Since durability is more important to prosperity, it is only fair that the number 9 fetch a higher sum at Ringgit Malaysia 53,130.00 compared to the number 8 bided with the sum RM$41,800.00.

It is only deserving to successful companies and individuals to keep certain assets in forms, assets of values, assets on paper, symbolic assets or sentimental assets, whether they are tangible or intangible as a memorial when time come. Anyway, successful companies and individuals have bigger incomes and expenses too.

Comparison between the lifestyles status of the less successful and the successful is thus unfair but comparison between the quality of the lifestyles between the less successful and the successful is more proper. In brief, the acquisition of vehicle registration number is just one of the by-product of success.

Selamat Hari Jadi, Datuk Wira Ir. Idris Haron.
Semoga Datuk Wira dapat memajukan Melaka secara indah, jaya dan sihat.

(When the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak called upon the people to spend wisely, it does not mean the rich cannot dine in restaurants and equally it does not mean the less rich cannot dine in restaurants. It means that one should spend within one’s means.)

Instead of wasting attention on trivial matters (remeh-temeh), Melakans should dedicate their attention as an absolute synergy to support the Chief Minister Datuk Wira Ir. Idris Haron so that he could make his vision to become a reality for adding extra benefits to the people and the State of Melaka.
