Royal Menanti Palace
This palace named after the royal town of Seri Menanti is situated about 50 km from Seremban and it was built between 1902 and 1905. No matter what happens; never ever forget your customs and traditions, stands strong in the state of Negeri Sembilan.
The Royal Menanti Palace was the official residence of the royal family until 1931 when it was found to be inadequate for the growing functions of the state. The wooden palace took six years to complete and is an architectural wonder as no screws or nails is used in its construction. With similar resemblance to the Pagar Ruyung Palace, Padang, Indonesia, this palace, Seri Menanti, is cultural rich. Another interesting route is to travel by road from Malacca, and then through Kuala Pilah to Seri Menanti. This route has many local attractions and some places where this route cut through is still remote.
