Certainly, with his miracles he could performed, those who
extended the invitation would prepare more than enough favorite foods to feast
him. Anyway, he didn’t accept or decline their invitations and such was his
perculiar trait that many people know him acknowledged. People who have seen
him recognized that the mysticism within him is beyond human perception as they
experienced. None, including Phoebe, Annie and Carol have related about him on
eating or talking. Probably, he doesn’t eat what the common old folks ate and
maybe, he chose not to talk for fear of frightening the listener as whatever he
whisper could be a command.
Five doors to the left of Carol’s house, 2 or 3 men would be
sitting and snoring away either with their legs stretched or curled even after
the break of dawn. The escalating noises of the morning activities was no
impact to them. While a hangover can be experienced anytime, the hangover
generally controlled them in the morning, after a night of heavy drinking. They
enjoyed toddy. Toddy or sometimes called
Todi, is a coconut wine made from the sap of the coconut tree. They’ve got
their supplies of alcoholic beverages from a wine merchant. Diagonally, the
wine merchant, there was a kopitiam and
Carol could recall watching the Sacred sitting
in a corner with a small ceramic cup of hot
kopi-O and the white marble table.
Unlike the German’s fairy tale, Rapunzel and her magical
long golden hair, the Sacred’s waist-length
hair doesn’t overlay the table or the chair rest.
