Arulmigu Sannasimalai Aandavar Temple Melaka
This temple is being constructed within 5 months, as informed by a friend, Rajes.
I was there this afternoon from 5 p.m. to about 5.20 p.m. to get videos for youtube.
Besides Rajes, Babu and two other Hindus said the same facts. They encouraged me to go to the temple on this Sunday 2 November 2014 before 9.00 a.m.
The opening ceremony will take place after 9 and drops water fall from above the heads when rites and rituals begin. It is said that anyone touched by the falling drops is blessed. The devotees believed that when the diety appears, eagles will circulate above the diety statue.
This temple is near to a school on Krubong Road. Watch out for the Traffic junction where there is a Shell Petrol kiosk and an overhead pedestrian bridge.
While this temple is getting ready for its grand opening in less than 24 hours from now, mobile police is already in duty since yesterday in expectation of a massive turnout of devotees from all over Melaka in particular and other States of Malaysia in general.
On the eve of this Hindu temple grand opening, His Highness, the Governor of Melaka, Tun Mohd. Khalik Yaakob, the Prime Minister YAB Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Malaysian Indian Congress President Datuk Seri Palanivel s/o Govindasamy and the Melaka Chief Minister are guests to the Malaysia Deepavali Open House 2014 to be celebrated 4 hours from now at the Independence Memorial, Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka.
On the other hand, Mr. Lim Teck Chai, the President of the Heng Ann Association will flag off the Mazu Procession 1 hour from now with other communities leaders. The Mazu Procession is the first of its kind to parade through the heritage city of Melaka.
