Architectural Museum Melaka

This museum though only two-storey and wouldn't take up much of your time, housed a comprehensive history of the architecture from the past to the present day. The architecture history is way long in the past and the uniqueness of the designs are displayed in this museum.

For the museum itself, it was built in the 1700s when the Dutch was in Melaka and they used it as a dwelling place for dignitaries and as a center of administration. It is located in Jalan Kota, a street close to the Melaka ancient port once the globally known empire the Sultanate of Melaka reign.


After the independence of Malaya, the building was occupied by the Malacca Water Board from 1978 to 1980 and in 1999, the Perbadanan Muzium Melaka restored it to housed a knowledge of architecture for the Building industry since time in memorial.

A place good for architects, educators, students, and tourists.
