Mahkota Parade 2014 Lion Dance 第五届皇冠百利常年杯, Melaka (+playlist)

This video is filmed by me. It is uploaded to the YouTube Channel Melaka.

Lion is the largest member of the Cat family. Lions roam in some parts of Africa and southwest of Asia. A lion may measure three meters from the nose to the tip of the tail and could weigh to about 500 pounds. There are Indian lions, Masai lions, Senegal lions, Persian lions and Somali lions.

For the lions, the roaring begins at dusk.

The image of the lion define a strong and stable characteristic. The Lion of Lucerne is dedicated to the memory of the Swiss Guards who defended the Tuileries in Paris on August 10, 1792. The Lion of St. Mark stand proudly on a granite column in Venice.

Lion Dance performers require vigorous training before they could participate in competitions, in particular, the Dance On Stilts. Each step is careful taken, and the whole gesture of the lion resemble the natural lion of the forest.

In the 5th Lion Dance On Stilts during the Malaysia's National Competition which was held in Mahkota Parade, Melaka last Sunday 12 January 2014, the lion has got to manage the vegetable. The lion troupes done an amazing feats and everyone were overwhelmed.

If you miss watching this year performances, don't miss next year lion dance on stilts performances next year.
