Cod Fish is an abundant and prolific fish found in the shallow water of northern hemisphere. Its scientific name is Gadus callarias. An usual length of 2’ to 4’, it lower jaw is shorter than the upper jaw. To almost nine millions eggs, the cod spawns in early spring and grow to a size of 2’ long in four years. The oil is obtained from the cod’s liver.
