Pahang



Bentong, 80 km northeast of Kuala Lumpur, is a town in Pahang close to Genting Highlands. Bentong produces some of the best durians in Pahang. A delightful retreat nearby is the natural Janda Baik.

Raub, a town after Bentong also produces the best torns fruit for durians lovers. The durians are names as Red Prawn or Udang Merah, Bamboo or Tekar, the Hor Lor, the Musang King, and plenty of D-labelled.

Kuala Lipis was synonymous to the railway. Frank Swettenham had onced visited Kuala Lipis. There is annual rafting fun that begin in Kuala Lipis and finish in Pekan.

A favourite dish on the table is the Silver Catfish and this fish is a favourite among Temerloh folks. Two of the famous singers are born in Temerloh and they are Sudirman and Siti Nurhaliza.

Pekan is the royal town of Pahang. The Royal Palace of the Sultan of Pahang is located in Pekan.

Kuantan has popular beaches like Teluk Chempedak and the tranquil Sepat Beach while at Beserah, you can watch buffaloes hauling carts with catches of the sea.
